Since its inception in 2019, the Head Hi Lamp Show has become a global platform for collective imagination, participation, and experimentation with light, design, and materials now occurring biennially (every two years) and organized by Head Hi founders—curator Alexandra Hodkowski and artist Alvaro Alcocer.
The sixth edition of the Head Hi, which received hundreds of international submissions in its open call, took place at BOOM at The Standard, High Line —a legendary cultural site and part of New York City’s late-night lore—from May 8-9, 2026. Keeping true to the organization’s ability to showcase newness in their experiential programs, Alexandra and Alvaro carefully selected the BOOM for the exhibition’s setting including a backdrop of New York City like no other. The show kicked off with a lively opening the evening of Friday, May 8, 7-11pm which featured music by Head Hi friends, musicians and DJs that and carried into the next day
We are now continuing to celebrate our universal relationship to light, design and creative expression throughout the month of May 2026 at Head Hi where the lamps available for sale will be on display on rotation. Stop by to browse and shop and see virtual gallery below.
