The Tone Knob is a mutable lighting object. It makes reference to the old analog knobs on musical equipment. When rotated, this giant knob can glow brighter or dimmer and can be configured to shed more or less light on its surroundings. In this object, interface is directly connected to function.
 
Josh Owen is an internationally renowned industrial designer, educator, and author. He is the president of his eponymous design studio, Josh Owen LLC, and is the Vignelli Distinguished Professor of Design and Director of the Vignelli Center for Design Studies at The Rochester Institute of Technology.
