In the age of instant output, writing a letter with pen and paper has a healing power. The way that the hand moves and drafts a personal message onto the page enchants the brain. Slow down; when you are writing by hand, every sentence takes about 10-15 seconds longer. We write to remember and we write to express, in a gentle way. This lamp offers the dancing of hands (under light) to the writer and participant; it is designed to draft handwritten letters and store envelopes and writing materials with its shelving system.
 
This is a collaboration between Ember Hua and Dong Longyue in Shanghai, China. Both are artists and designers. He attempts to employ specific structural game rules to complete his practice across mediums.
