“This lamp was created with the intention to be used in a queer sexual manner in order for users to practice safely within cruising spaces. Inspired from the form of urinal dividers from these cruising spaces, the lamp incorporates privacy within a presumed public space. The colored lights play a vital role in the curation of its’ design, as the blue-hued green light brings out skin level symptoms of transmissible STIs. While cruising does have a level of anonymity, the light reduces this and makes the overall experience safer for the users involved.”
