About the organizers and participants:
Vikmatic is a Brooklyn-based DJ & producer. He grew up surrounded by the sounds of Indian classical, jazz, and fusion music. This has an influence on his DJ sets today and overall sound that he produces. He is a resident on the music listening platform Boxout.fm and frequently DJs in NYC, at venues such as: Eavesdrop, Night Club 101, Commune, Suono and The Brooklyn Museum. He is also working on original music that is slated to be released this year. Vik is continuously inspired by spaces which allow for creation, introspection and interaction. The Loft party, Cosmic Arts, and of course Head Hi are some of the spaces in NYC that Vik frequents for inspiration and community connection. @vikmatic @rhythm___space
Diego Gaeta and V Ontiveros are a Los Angeles-based duo and practitioners of what they call Ancient Music—a sonic exploration of lost languages and interconnected worlds. Their sound fuses keyboard and voice through traditional melodies, creating simple yet expansive songs rooted in love, memory, and presence. The project began as an exploration of love, language and healing sound. In 2024, they made their debut at the acclaimed “Listen to Music Outside in the Daylight Under a Tree” series curated by Leaving Records in Los Angeles. Since then, they’ve woven together original works and timeless songs into a visionary, restorative musical experience. They are currently at work on their debut release. @clubdiegoo @vontiveros___

Rude Movements was born on Oahu, Hawai'i and spent his formative music years as a teen breakdancing, which he considers his first art form. He grew up with a variety of sounds from the 60s, 70s, and 80s, but dancing in the 90s is what led him to venture into the various underground scenes which were prevalent at the time, even on the small island of Oahu. Experience with everything from hip hop to drum and bass, rave/breakbeat, punk and reggae led him to realize the energizing and connective power of music which is an ideal he carries through as a DJ to this day. His musical range varies from funk to house, reggae and dub, hip hop and jazz, Brazilian and African, all with an emphasis on rhythm. Regardless of the styles the connective power of music is the main focus. He currently DJs around Brooklyn and Manhattan, and works on original production with Vikmatic as the duo Pure Resonance. He is the founder of Aloha From Brooklyn, a collective project with Vikmatic and 3 of their close friends. @rudemovements808
