About the event
Head Hi cordially invites you to celebrate the new issue of Primitive Skills, a publication about surfing adventure or in their own words "the world's loosiests surf magazine" from Australia.
For the occasion on Friday, June 20th, Head Hi will be screening a six pack George Greenough's short films from the '70s including Echoes, a 22 minute tube journey awash with the music of Pink Floyd, Greenough's visions from the inner sanctums of the wave, “the highest high imaginable”.
Contributors of issue 5 include: George Greenough, Hayden Brosnan, Nat Johnsen, Sam Rhodes, Julian Smith, Harold 'Wardie' Ward, surf logo art 1957-2024, Geoffrey White and NY's own Johnny Knapp, Matt L. Roar.
Limited capacity. Registration required. $15 per entry.
Copies of the Primitive Skills Vol.5 will be available for sale. Music and drinks!

Head Hi is an organization dedicated to art and design specializing in publications and cultural programming with an espresso bar located in Fort Greene, Brooklyn by the Navy Yard. We feature a curated selection of publications from around the globe.
