About the event
Join us on November 12th for the publication launch of FIELD LOG, a chronicle of Latin American artisans — a reimagined directory where craft meets contemporary design. Meet the maker of the book, Annick Saralegui who will speak briefly about the creative process behind the book, and will showcase select material samples directly from the artisans featured in FIELD LOG.
This edition traces eight talleres—workshops—across Perú and Colombia, where techniques in leatherwork, alpaca, crochet, and natural fibers are not simply preserved but actively reimagined. These workshops are more than sites of production — they are living systems of generational knowledge, experimentation, and material intimacy. The book unfolds as a layered record: of hands at work, of textures shaped by rhythm and repetition, of tools that carry both function and memory.
This book is a limited run of 250 total copies. Secure your copy with your RSVP below.

FIELD LOG is a new, curated chronicle of Latin American artisans—a reimagined directory where craft meets contemporary design. This edition explores eight—talleres—workshops across Perú and Colombia, where tradition is not preserved but evolved—woven, stitched, and sculpted into the present. Annick Maria and Pedro Pablo spent a year getting to know and documenting artisans working in leather, alpaca, crochet, and more—preserving tradition while pushing the boundaries of their craft. More than sites of production, these talleres embody generational skill, cultural resilience, and pure artistry. This book is not just an archive; it is an invitation to immerse in craftsmanship as it exists today. @field__log
Annick Saralegui is an interdisciplinary creative designer based in New York City with a passion for exploring the power of visual design to tell bold stories. She was part of the creative team behind Grow magazine for Ginkgo Bioworks—a publication about the future of synthetic biology—and Evvy’s 100 Effed Facts About the Gender Health Gap, a provocative collection of 100 shocking truths about gender disparities in medical research and care. Her approach interlaces cultural storytelling, archival research, and graphic design to challenge the expected and breathe new life into complex topics—design that sparks questions and invites discovery. @annicksara
